Renaissance Cicéron - Syrah Rosé
IGP Pays d'Oc
This Roman villa (-70 years BC) became a dependency of Lagrasse Abbey (8th to 12th century), then was privatised during the French Revolution (1789). The estate's reputation and advances in quality were boosted in 1970 by the Saunier Blanches direct descendants of the Nicolas family, the famous Parisian wine merchants. The property then changed hands several times. In 2000 Claude Vialade took over Château Cicéron and completely renovated it, making it suitable for wine tourism. An experimental vineyard was introduced to develop winegrowing adapted to global warming.

Syrah

The vineyard is located along the Mediterranean coastline in the Béziers region. It basks in a hot, humid climate, which promotes the development of aroma in the grapes during ripening and produces a range of wines with a variety of profiles.
The utmost care is lavished on vineyard management and the health of the fruit. The vines are trained on wires using the Cordon de Royat system.
The crop is harvested by machine, destemmed and goes straight to press using a pneumatic press with 2 hours of soaking in a protected atmosphere. Fermentation then occurs for no more than 6-10 days.
The perfect match for light, modern and fun-filled cuisine.
Intense, brilliant pinkish colour with purple tints. Persistent aromatic nose of boiled sweets. Long on the palate with notes of stewed fruits and crushed red fruits. Fresh and aromatic. Drink whilst still young, in the first 18 months after bottling.
