Belles du Sud Marsanne-Roussanne
IGP Pays d'Oc
Belles du Sud is the anchorage, the bedrock of today's Auriol company. The majestic Fontaine des Trois Grâces adorns the Place de L'Oeuf in Montpellier. The refreshing fountain is decorated with Roman nudes, their shoulders bearing symbols of opulence: baskets of grapes and amphora. You will find such fountains in all the towns of the Mediterranean perimeter: it is a typical characteristic of local architecture. These should remind you of our values and the symbolic corpus of our history: the Mediterranean identity, the Roman impact on the civilization of Wine, wine as an integral part of our culture and economy. Wine as Art, or failing that, the Art of Living!
Roussanne Marsanne
12°C
The vineyards are located on the upper tiers bordering the Mediterranean coastline, along the Béziers terraces. The area enjoys a Mediterranean climate which promotes development of aromas in the grapes during ripening, producing a range of wines with varied profiles.
The greatest care is taken with vineyard management and the health of the fruit. The vines are trained using the Guyot system.
The grapes are picked by machine and destemmed before the juice is clarified at low temperatures opf 4-7°C. These very clear juices are then fermented, producing excellent extraction of very pure aromas. The wines are stored at low temperatures.
Makes the perfect aperitif or partner for a number of starters, cruditees and salads, as well as seafood tagliatelle, king prawns flambéed with pastis and sheep's cheeses.
A blend of Mediterranean aromatics, fruitiness and elegant aromas. The palate is full-bodied yet fresh and persistent.
