Le Bistro Montmija
Vin de France
Montmija has been an organic benchmark since the 1970s, when patriarch and visionary Jean Vialade was the driving force behind the conversion of the family's vineyard in Ribaute to organic. Bistro Montmija is the fruity, thirst-quenching version of this label made in the spirit of a delicate, subtle wine for pleasure. The pictures are a reference to C. Bot's painting of Claude Vialade in Ribaute in her early years as a winemaker. These 'everyday' labels require special care in order to create a disconnect between this great discovery and its price. This is our challenge! The ‘Bistro' label involves subscribing to an ethos where everyone gets to ndulge in organic wines. It is about convincing you that organic wines turn the enjoyment of wine into an ethical approach based on an economy that respects the world and its equilibrium.
Grenache blanc
8-10°C
The wines from this blend come from two different vineyards: one on the hillside, the other on the plain.
The vines are farmed organically. Yields total 80 hl/ha. The Grenache is trained using the Guyot system with three training wires.
The grapes are mechanically harvested at night for freshness. Destemming and cold pre-fermentation maceration. The low temperature, at all stages, develops the fruity character. Aromas of peach and white flesh fruits (lychee).
Serve as an aperitif, with cold meats and goat's cheeses.
This fresh wine opens up to aromas of stone fruits such as peach with some floral notes.
